February 2018
We are supporting The Great British Spring Clean 2018
UPDATE – Many events have been postponed to later in the month due to the extreme weather.
The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign with a simple aim: to bring people across the country together to clear up litter.
Rivers Trusts across the country including those in the Thames catchment will be part of this national event that is running 2nd – 4th March.
80% of plastic in the oceans comes from land, and rivers are a significant pathway for it to get there.
Litter in our rivers and streams is not only unsightly, it can cause serious pollution as well as often causing direct injuries to the wildlife that depend on a healthy river environment.
