Miles Morgan serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Thames Rivers Trust, bringing extensive experience in environmental management and a deep commitment to safeguarding river ecosystems. Previously, Miles led the Environment Agency’s environmental programs across Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, and London, delivering projects in river restoration, flood resilience, and community collaboration.
With a Master’s in Water Management, Miles has tackled a wide range of environmental challenges, from conserving chalk streams to reducing river abstraction. His work has involved engaging and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including water companies, government bodies, local groups, councils, and delivery partners, to achieve meaningful and lasting improvements for rivers and the communities they support.
As a former Chair of Governors for a school in St Albans, Miles has also developed a keen understanding of governance and strategic leadership. Outside of work, he remains committed to community initiatives and environmental stewardship. Miles is passionate about advancing the Thames Rivers Trust’s mission of creating healthier, more sustainable river systems for future generations.
Anna has been working with rivers for over a decade. She has extensive experience in leading chalk stream river restoration projects, citizen science training and co-ordination, award winning river education and community and corporate engagement.
She has a life long passion for wildlife, especially those species that depend on healthy rivers.
Anna led the bid and was the Project Manager for our successful partnership project, the Thames Catchment Community Eels Project. She works part-time for TRT supporting the team and Board of Trustees, using her knowledge, expertise and skills to good effect.
Our newest member of the team, Sara is a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability, she brings fresh perspectives and boundless enthusiasm. With over a decade of experience in Programme Management, in her previous roles she has driven transformative initiatives in clean energy access, healthcare, gender equity, and economic progress.
Sara’s core skills include strategic planning, robust stakeholder management and partnerships, and leading high-performance teams. She excels in managing diverse tech and community-centred projects, implementing processes to ensure optimal operational cohesion.
A philanthropist at heart, Sara is eager to contribute and grow. She is excited to join the Thames Rivers Trust, dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment by preserving and protecting the River Thames and its tributaries.
