Can you label the name of each life cycle stage of a European eel?
It’s hard to believe this is the same fish, but it is! The European eel goes through some pretty impressive transformations; known as life cycle stages.
Here’s a fun and interesting way to discover the number of stages there are in the life cycle of an eel, the approximate sizes at each stage and where they are during each stage too.
European eels are catadromous. This means that they live in salt water, fresh water and then salt water again.
